Raw Cacao and Coconut protein balls

These have been going down a storm with everyone who has tried them lately so I thought I'd share the recipe here for all.

Only a handful of ingredients, quick and easy, freezable and the kid's love them so give them a try.

This makes approx 15 balls - depending on how big you make them.

200g of oats

80g of desiccated coconut + extra for rolling

1.5 tbsp of raw cacao

1 tbsp of chia seeds

1 tbsp of chocolate and vanilla protein powder (I use Revolution Foods)

10 pitted dates

about 3 tbsp of water

Whizz everything minus the water in a normal food processor, start adding the water a little at a time until the mixture starts forming together. Take a tbsp of the mixture and roll into a ball then roll it through the extra desiccated coconut. Place on the tray and refrigerate for about an hour. Then you can put them into a storage container and back in the fridge or freeze until needed. They are great for kids lunchboxes as you can get a couple out of the freezer in the morning and by lunch they will have defrosted! Yum!
